I founded Pennywise Consulting because I believe that financial stewardship carries a responsibility that isn’t always treated with the seriousness it deserves.
Every business I work with is handled with the same care, discipline, and respect that I would give my own. Not because it’s expected—but because financial decisions shape real outcomes. They affect people, livelihoods, timing, opportunity, and risk. That weight matters to me, and it informs how I show up in every engagement.
Over the course of my career, I’ve worked across complex operating environments—founder-led businesses, multi-entity structures, private-equity-backed companies, and organizations navigating growth, transition, and constraint. I hold a Master’s degree in forensic accounting, which fundamentally shaped how I approach financial leadership: with precision, skepticism where appropriate, and a deep respect for how systems can either protect or expose a business.
That background trained me to look beyond surface-level reporting and ask harder questions. Where is risk accumulating quietly? What assumptions are being made without evidence? Which numbers matter—and which ones are simply noise?
Too often, the finance function is positioned as a back-office necessity or a compliance obligation. In reality, it is one of the most powerful decision-making frameworks inside a business. When financial data is structured correctly and interpreted with judgment, it becomes a strategic finance tool. It reveals constraints, sharpens priorities, and allows leaders to make decisions with confidence instead of instinct alone.
It’s genuinely surprising how many pivotal decisions—about hiring, pricing, growth, capital, and risk—can be made simply by understanding the numbers clearly.
Pennywise exists to bring that clarity to the surface.
This firm was built to operate as a true financial stewardship partner for founders—one that combines strategic finance, operational understanding, and forensic-level attention to detail. My work is not limited to explaining what happened; it’s focused on helping leaders understand why it happened, what it means, and what to do next.
I’m a lifelong learner, and I’m deeply drawn to complex problems. I love puzzles—not as academic exercises, but as living systems with real consequences. Every engagement is different, and I approach each one by identifying patterns, constraints, and leverage points that aren’t immediately visible. The goal is never complexity for its own sake—it’s clarity that unlocks better decisions.
That combination—care, responsibility, analytical rigor, and curiosity—is what defines Pennywise Consulting. It’s why this firm exists, and it’s the standard I hold myself to in every relationship.

Founder, Pennywise Consulting
“Clarity in financial stewardship isn’t about more data. It’s about understanding risk, seeing what matters through forensic accounting, and knowing what to do next with strategic finance.”

Clarity over complexity is essential — insight should guide action in financial stewardship, not create noise. Structure over reaction is key — strategic finance systems create stability as conditions change. Stewardship over shortcuts is vital — every decision carries real consequences, particularly in forensic accounting. Independent judgment is necessary, even when the answer is difficult. Risk should be surfaced early, not discovered too late. Finance must be viewed as a leadership tool, not merely a reporting exercise. Decisions should be grounded in truth, not just optimism. Focus on constraints, not solely on ambition. Data should be structured for decisions, not just for volume. Discipline should be paired with adaptability. Confidentiality and trust are non-negotiables in this process. Confidence is built through clarity and consistency.

Financial intelligence plays a crucial role in effective financial stewardship, especially when it truly matters. Understanding the principles of forensic accounting and strategic finance can significantly enhance decision-making and resource management.
